OzVolley.org closes its doors

As you have no doubt noticed, OzVolley has been quiet for a while, this is largely due to me wanting to see if I can live without updating a blog every day…

Turns out I can, and while I will miss it, I will be moving onto the next chapter of my life and so will not be able to put the time into the site any more.

The site URL will exist until February, when it will disappear. I will leave it open until then, because the site remains one of the few ways people can have their voices heard on volleyball in this country and there are a heap of valuable voices to be heard!

Thanks to Huy and Robbo for their help over he last 2 years, and to Devo for his work over the previous 3. Since 2006, when Devo kicked off, through to now, we have managed around a million visitors to our sites, which is a nice amount really!

All the best everyone, happy new year!

  1. Agreed. Quite often blogs that evolve organically can mean much more than ‘official’ ones, and this was certainly the case with Devo. I hope a similar replacement can be found.

  2. Mick, sad to hear but fully understand your need to live without updating a blog everyday. Its been a fantastic forum to gather a wide range of opinions and thoughts about our great sport! We need many voices and opinions and I always enjoyed reading what I found here.

    • But seriously, very sorry to see you guys go, awesome site following on from all of Devo’s hard work. As the bat says, very big hole to fill!
