Mick, sad to hear but fully understand your need to live without updating a blog everyday. Its been a fantastic forum to gather a wide range of opinions and thoughts about our great sport! We need many voices and opinions and I always enjoyed reading what I found here.

Agreed. Quite often blogs that evolve organically can mean much more than ‘official’ ones, and this was certainly the case with Devo. I hope a similar replacement can be found.

General comments from players that I have spoken to seem to indicate that it was the best National League for many years. The fact that the teams were fairly even in strength meant there were very few one-sided matches, and with teams having to back up almost every week meant that they had to be near their best every week.

This kind of league is the best development tool for both players and coaches. which is why almost every reasonable Volleyball country runs some kind of Home and Away, weekly, National league.

Can’t wait for the 2012 version. Let’s go October to March with 10 or more teams.
